Insight into the life of a young digital

entrepreneur

It was when I was working on a UN Global Goals project during my

studies, that we came up with the idea of the assault alarm. We had to

come up with a topic that would address one of the 17 Global Goals, and

we chose to focus on how to create a solution for young women, to

prevent them from being attacked, if they were walking alone. With our
idea, the person can press the alarm on the device, which is small and

discreet enough to look like a piece of jewellery. When the alarm is
pressed, the location is sent to an app, and people in the local area who

have signed up to be helpers, get an alert, and they can run out to assist

the individual.

The idea kind of came out of the blue, and we decided to pursue it. And

we have made it this far, that we are working on developing the platform,

making connections with other businesses who can provide the parts that

we cannot do ourselves. But we are learning all the time.
