ASKING FOR FEEDBACK
Practical tips for prototyping and testing techniques
Argue that after the completion of a business model canvas and before drafting
1 a comprehensive business plan, any business is encouraged to test/prototype
its product or service to collect feedback to either validate or improve/adapt its
solution, ensuring that the final product/service will be ready for market uptake.
Present other tools that can help participants understand what they have to do
2 to collect such external feedback. Explain to the participants that the majority
of these tools are online, all for free download. Facilitators are advised to read
and explore the suggested resources before presenting them to the learners.
Use the lean start-up methodology with the aim of helping participants to test
3 and validate a business idea, transforming it into a viable product or service
with the support of external feedback.
4 Replicate this activity by using the lean start-up methodology to explain how
participants can improve their product or service to market needs.
Remember to clearly explain, during the session, the main steps and questions
5 supporting an elevator pitch presentation that might not be of the knowledge
of the participants. Facilitators can show YouTube videos of successful pitch
presentations as an example.
