found. The next activity will help you define your own

entrepreneurial competence list and gain an overview of what

you have, and what you need to develop. Let’s create your

co We will start by drawing a tree. The tree trunk stands for the

mp type of business you are interested in creating. One trunk per
area of business. Then draw one to six tree branches, and write
ete in each, the qualities that you need to be in your particular field.

nce Now get some post its. For each quality branch, indicate

situations from the past in which you have made use of this
tre quality. On a new post it, write situations from the future, linked

e to the direction your business will go in, where a specific quality

will be useful. Stick these Post-its to the branches, just like if

they were actual leaves on a tree. Now your competence tree is
ready for analysis! Finally, you can fill in the chart on the next

page, to plan what you need to work on.
