Developing a social media marketing strategy

The aim of this activity is to guide the learners into draft a social media marketing
strategy, selecting one preferable social media platform to conduct such task.
In this activity, the learners will have to develop a social media marketing
strategy for a specific product or service. To do that, trainers and/or facilitators
must cover the following steps:
Step 1
Present a scenario to the learners where they are online business owners. They
will have then to choose a product or service to sell. They want to use social

media as a platform to increase awareness and sales of the product they have
chosen.
Use the tips indicated ahead to provide content and guidance so that learners
can complete then step 3.
Step 3
In small groups, learners will have to develop a marketing strategy for the
selected product or service. They can present their strategy in table format or
on slides.
Step 4
Taking turns, the groups will present their strategies explain and justify the
selection of the social media platform.
Step 5
Use the group's presentations to debrief the topic.
