Start small, end up big
But Zuckerberg believed in this idea and based on the success of the
initial website, i.e., positive feedback among Harvard students reshaped
the concept, launching an early-stage version of what is now Facebook
for the entire Harvard campus.
This idea was so popular, i.e., the creation of an online directory for all
Harvard students that it spread to other Universities around the world. In
2006, Facebook opened the network to everyone and so the social media
network as we know it today was born.
Facebook’s story thus shows a lot of key elements of a successful
Minimum Viable Product (MVP), along with a unique idea and the ability
to listen and adapt the product to the needs or requests of users.
In fact, Zuckerberg’s story is one of continuous testing and feedback.
