Types of prototyping
Prototypes can take many forms, depending on the amount of time,
money and resources you are willing to invest:
o Low-fidelity prototypes, i.e., pre-prototyping or early-stage
prototyping: used to illustrate a proposed experimental solution. These
might take the form of simple sketches and storyboards or even rough
paper prototypes. If you are still in an early-stage of your business idea
perhaps this is the best option for you, as you will be able to create a
low-budget and fast MVP to validate with your customers.
o High-fidelity prototypes: fully formed and detailed, closer to the first
version of an end-product. These are usually used for testing or pilot
trials and work better if you already have a clear idea of where your
business is headed and what you want from your product or service, as
this usually means a higher budget, resources and time for the MVP.
