Key elements to start your business
o Competitors
For sure as a digital business you will have competitors. You must make
sure you know everything about them. This is a relevant element to
consider when thinking about your monetising strategy, as it will impact
the different ways in which you will reach your customers.
o Marketing strategy
If you own a digital business, then a digital marketing strategy will be an
essential part of your business strategy (see Module 9 – Marketing
strategy and digital content creation) and go hand-in-hand with your
business monetising strategy. Ask relevant questions such as: how can I
inform my customers about new offers? How do I adequately promote
my business? How do I advertise price and product to end-users?
